Alexandra Kaptein is a Dutch concert pianist and music theorist with a deep affinity for the German Romantic repertoire—particularly the works of Franz Liszt. Currently based in the Netherlands and Germany, she is pursuing the prestigious Konzertexamen program at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln and teaches Harmony at the Piano at ArtEZ University of the Arts in Zwolle. Known for her analytical yet expressive interpretations, Alexandra unites performance, musicology, and theory in both her concerts and publications. In 2024, she released her debut album Liszt Transcriptions on TRPTK, and she serves as vice president of the Franz Liszt Society Netherlands.

In the 2025–2026 season, Alexandra will tour across the country as a finalist of the Dutch Classical Talent program. Through her performances, writing, and teaching, she seeks to deepen our understanding of Romantic repertoire and connect with audiences in fresh, meaningful ways.
